** Support community-based organizations on #GivingTuesdayNow!
------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Friend of IDP,

In this time of uncertainty, there's one truth that gives us hope—that together we can do extraordinary things. Over the past few weeks and months, people have come together to stand up, help out, give back, and heal. Whether that's through donations to community organizations, celebrating doctors and nurses at shift changes, or reaching out to a neighbor to help with groceries, generosity has been helping the world get through this global pandemic, together.
Over the years, the Immigrant Defense Project community has come together in support of our mission to secure fairness and justice for all immigrants. Thank you so much for your generous, continued support. Today, we ask that you participate in #GivingTuesdayNow ([link removed]) , a global day of unity and giving, by once again supporting at-risk communities. In lieu of a donation to IDP, please consider making a donation to any of the following organizations, all of which are seeking funds to continue to provide services to incarcerated people and communities heavily impacted by COVID-19:

Supporting People in Prison
* Releasing Aging People in Prison (RAPP) Campaign & the Parole Protection Project ([link removed])
* COVID Bail Out NYC ([link removed])
* Mutual Aid for People Impacted by Incarceration ([link removed])

Supporting Heavily-Impacted Communities
* Unlocal Immigrant Relief Fund ([link removed])
* Damayan Emergency Fund Campaign ([link removed])
* Brooklyn Sanctuary Support Team Mutual Aid Network ([link removed])
* Flushing Mutual Aid Network ([link removed])
* BKShowsLove Emergency Fund to Feed Brooklynites ([link removed])
* New Hour for Women and Children - LI ([link removed])

This list is not exhaustive, as there is a great deal of incredible work being done by community-based organizations across the country, but we wanted to uplift some of the smaller efforts that IDP staff have encountered in the course of our work which may not be as widely publicized.

IDP, and the community-based organizations in our network, not only rely on your support, but we also need you to help spread the word. Please tell your friends and family why you believe in this work and why you trust IDP to point you towards organizations where your gift will truly make a difference.

As always, thank you so much for supporting the work of IDP, and our partners, throughout 2020 and beyond!

Hope you are healthy and safe.
