My thanks to everyone who donated in response to my earlier note — copied below
in case you missed it — about the hate mail that pours into Public Citizen
headquarters.

Of course we wish we didn’t have to face comments like these and the threats
implicit in them.

But we do.

And we’re not going to hide from it.

And we’re sure as hell not going to back down from the essential work we’ve been
doing — for half a century and counting — to confront corporate power and
government inaction.

If you can, please donate right now — before tomorrow’s critical midnight
deadline. [[link removed]]

Either way, thank you for standing with us.

Onward,

- Robert

******

We get a lot of hate mail at Public Citizen.

Here are just a few examples:

* “I will kill you without remorse.”

* “We will eradicate scum like Public Citizen.”

* “I would rip you apart limb from limb if given the chance.”

* “You should die slowly, in horrible pain.”

* “We hope and pray you die.”

* “You all deserve a bullet.”

* “What’s really sad is that no one has killed the twisted morons at Public
Citizen.”

* “The FBI should lock you up and anyone who supports you.”

* “Get the f*** out of my country.”

* “Your day is coming, sooner than you think.”

Our make-or-break September 30 deadline is looming. Please donate today if you
can. [[link removed]]

Anything you can chip in — $5 or $25, $50 or $100, $500 or even more — will make
a difference. [[link removed]]

inaction day after day after day.

If donating today is not a good fit, that’s okay. Either way, thank you for
being part of this shared project called Public Citizen.

For progress,
