John,
Good afternoon, and welcome to our Weekend Update.
Yesterday, I attended and spoke at a rally with our next Vice President, Senator J.D. Vance, in Newtown, Bucks County. Jim Worthington’s Newtown Athletic Club was full, and thousands of people came to see and hear from our winning team! Click here <[link removed]> or below to watch a clip of my remarks.

President Trump’s second-term agenda will revive the American economy through competitive tax rates, responsible spending initiatives, pro-American energy policies, and deregulation that allows small businesses to thrive. On the other hand, a Harris administration will be marked by more spending, taxes, and regulations. Pennsylvanians cannot afford the Harris agenda. I joined CNN's "Inside Politics with Dana Bash" to discuss further. Click here <[link removed]> to watch.
<[link removed]>
Vice President Kamala Harris represents a stark contrast—embracing policies built on weakness and improvisation. Why delay action with empty "day one" promises when you can start delivering results today, Madame Vice President? I joined Newsmax's "Wake Up America" to discuss. Click here <[link removed]> or below to watch.
<[link removed]>
I also joined Fox Business to further discuss the importance of electing President Trump and his plans to fix the economy. Click here <[link removed]> or below to watch.
<[link removed]>
Additionally, I joined WILK Newsradio to discuss the issues surrounding the economy. Click here <[link removed]> or below to listen..

Kamala Harris’ push for grocery price controls and her attack on domestic energy are threats to Pennsylvania’s farmers. Many rely on natural gas, and when energy prices rise due to the Biden-Harris policies, their costs follow. From fertilizer to fuel, it’s becoming unaffordable, putting their livelihoods at risk. Under President Trump, farmers thrived with policies that prioritized them.
This impact goes beyond just agriculture. Fracking, vital to Pennsylvania’s economy, <>supports nearly 500,000 jobs across the Commonwealth. Yet the Biden-Harris Administration continues to undermine the industry with regulations and taxes. Harris may claim she won't ban fracking, but we already know her policies will cripple the industry.
Trump will support our farmers, safeguard energy jobs, and stand up for America, ensuring we’re not dependent on foreign adversaries. Click here <[link removed]> or below to listen.

President Trump was in Indiana County this week for a rally. I joined the "John Steigerwald Show" on 1250AM to discuss the economy and other issues. Click here <[link removed]> or below to listen.
<[link removed]>
The U.S. Senate released a scathing report regarding the United States Secret Service's failures at the Butler rally in July. I joined NewsNation to discuss the report and the second assassination attempt against former President Trump, as well as the economy. Click here <[link removed]> or below to watch.
<[link removed]>
President Trump will be returning to Butler on 10/5 for a rally. I was in the front row on July 13 at the rally where a gunman attempted to assassinate the President. I will be there again next week, on October 5th. We must take back our country, and the presidency will be won or lost in Pennsylvania. I am proud to stand with President Trump. If you want to attend the rally, please click here <[link removed]*1373ih9*_gcl_au*NzAxNDA0OTEuMTcyNzYxNTI3NQ..&_ga=2.184889961.1998987617.1727615276-1533269826.1727615275> or below to register for tickets.

IN NEWS YOU WON’T HEAR IN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA: Open borders have tragic consequences — and blood is on Kamala’s hands.
Biden-Harris’ own Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed they have released 650,000 illegal immigrants charged and convicted of crimes into our country. This includes 13,099 convicted murderers and 15,811 convicted of sexual assault. Click here <[link removed]> or below to watch a report from Fox News on these sky-high numbers.
<[link removed]>
Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Secretary Mayorkas should be imprisoned for creating this horrible scenario. Harris and any Democrat who voted for these open border policies should not receive a single vote from an American citizen for the unbelievable level of long-term damage, danger, and crime their agenda has created — an open border agenda that Harris would only continue. Anyone considering voting for Harris for president is voting for these numbers to double and will bear the responsibility for the crime and danger created.
Over just the past two weeks alone:
- Grand Rapids, Michigan: A Mexican national — who was deported during the Trump administration, then returned under Kamala — pled guilty <[link removed]> to brutally murdering his girlfriend and dumping her body along a highway.
- Dormont, Pennsylvania: An illegal alien — who illegally crossed back into the country after being previously deported <[link removed]> — was arrested <[link removed]> in a fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of a 23-year-old man.
- Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin: An illegal alien and member of the brutal Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang was arrested <[link removed]> on multiple charges of sexual abuse, child abuse, and disorderly conduct.
- Rome, Georgia: An illegal alien from Mexico — who had previously been deported at least four times over the past decade — was arrested <[link removed]> in a head-on drunk driving crash that critically injured a one-year-old child and killed both parents.
- St. Louis, Missouri: An illegal alien — who already had a lengthy criminal record — was arrested <[link removed]> in a drunk driving crash <[link removed]> that killed St. Louis
Metropolitan Police Officer David Lee, an 18-year department veteran who leaves behind a wife and two kids.
- Boston, Massachusetts: An illegal alien from Haiti — who was released <[link removed]> into the country by the Harris-Biden administration in 2022 — was arrested <[link removed]> for sexually assaulting a woman.
- San Antonio, Texas: An illegal alien — released <[link removed]> into the country by the Harris-Biden administration in 2022 — was arrested <[link removed]> in connection to gang-related weapons trafficking.
- Rochester, New York: An illegal alien — wanted for murder <[link removed]> in the Dominican Republic — was charged <[link removed]> in a horrific quadruple murder, including two kids, after he started their house on fire.
- Little Rock, Arkansas: An illegal alien from Honduras, who was deported <[link removed]> under President Trump, then recently re-entered the country, was arrested <[link removed]> in a fatal drunk driving crash that killed a 48-year-old infant respiratory therapist.
- Joplin, Missouri: Two Honduran illegal alien brothers robbed <[link removed]> a man, shot him in the head, and stole his car to buy drugs across state lines — as the pair was on the run for committing a series of other heinous crimes <[link removed]>.
- Nantucket, Massachusetts: An illegal alien from El Salvador — previously released <[link removed]> on bail in sanctuary city Boston — was arrested <[link removed]> for 11 sex crimes <[link removed]>, including rape, indecent assault, and battery on a child under 14-years-old.
Things will be so much worse if Kamala is elected in November. She coddles <[link removed]> illegals by backing an end to deportations <[link removed]>, mass amnesty <[link removed]>, sanctuary cities <[link removed]>, abolishing ICE <[link removed]>, decriminalizing <[link removed]>illegal border crossings <[link removed]>, free health care <[link removed]> for illegals, and so much more <[link removed]>.
President Trump, meanwhile, will carry out the largest deportation operation in American history as he seeks to rid the country of the violent criminals, gang members, and terrorists who have flooded in.
Kamala won't be able to escape accountability for the disaster she's created — we won't let her.
I introduced H.R. 9763 the No Funding Without Freedom Act. The bill would prohibit U.S. financial aid to Afghanistan until every wrongfully detained American citizen is released by the Taliban, including Ryan Corbett, who grew up in Susquehanna County.
Last month marked three years since the Biden-Harris Administration’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, which allowed the Taliban to seize control of the country. And despite the Taliban’s wrongful imprisonment of <>Americans like Ryan Corbett and George Glezmann, this administration has continued to provide billions of dollars in humanitarian aid to the terror group. The United States is the largest humanitarian donor to Afghanistan, and my legislation would ensure that not one penny more will be sent until every American hostage is released. We must leverage all options, including withholding financial aid, to secure the release of Ryan and George. Click here <[link removed]> or below to read more.

At a committee hearing this week, I questioned the entire U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission about why the SEC is pushing ahead with sweeping equity market structure reforms without waiting for critical updated trading data. These rushed changes could introduce volatility and harm investors. It was valuable to hear that not all Commissioners agree with the SEC's rapid pace of rulemaking. We need thoughtful reforms that balance market stability with investor confidence, not rushed decisions that <>could have unintended consequences. That means slowing down and listening to public feedback, which Chair Gensler failed to do during his tenure. Click here <[link removed]> or below to watch.

I’m grateful to have received the Champion of Small Business Investing Award from the Small Business Investor Alliance (SBIA). This award recognizes Members of Congress who support policies that promote domestic investment and capital access for small businesses, enabling them to grow, innovate, and create jobs. As a Member of the House Small Business Committee, I will continue working to advance pro-growth initiatives and investment opportunities for entrepreneurs. Thank you <>to the SBIA for your dedication to strengthening Main Street America.
Americans for Prosperity is a premier advocacy group fighting for lower taxes, limited government, and economic freedom. As a champion of these values in Congress, I was happy to receive AFP’s Pioneer of Prosperity Award. In Congress, I will always advocate for fiscal responsibility and legislative initiatives that create sustainable growth and lasting economic opportunities for all Pennsylvanians.
I met with National Independent Automobile Dealers Association members in my Washington office. We discussed efforts to combat the catalytic converter theft epidemic in Pennsylvania and nationwide, regulatory challenges for independent dealers, the FTC’s new CARS Rule, and other key issues affecting the automobile industry.
It was great to meet with Ancera CEO Arjun Ganesan, whose company specializes in technology for monitoring food supply chains and enhancing operational efficiency. We discussed their innovative solutions to challenges facing the poultry industry and the food supply chain.
I had the opportunity to speak with the George Washington University College Republicans and share my experience as a Member of Congress. We had an in-depth discussion on the current political environment and the issues facing our country, followed by insightful questions from the students. I appreciate the GW College Republicans inviting me to connect with such driven young leaders and engage with the next generation of conservative voices.
One of the most impressive successes of this election season has been the sizeable gains in voter registration made by the Republican Party. Republicans have been gaining in registration in every corner of the Commonwealth. This week, Luzener County shifted to a Republican majority in registered voters! Just a few years ago, in 2020, Democrats had an almost 20,000 Democrat voter advantage, and now, thanks to the hard work of Republican leaders and dedicated volunteers, the tide has turned.
This achievement reflects the commitment and effort so many individuals in Luzerne County put in. This dedication lays the groundwork for continued success, including President Donald Trump's re-election and his return to the White House on November 5th.
I was happy to join the Montgomery County GOP for their Fall Reception with RNC Co-Chairman Michael Whatley. It was a large, energetic crowd ready to turn out the vote in Montco! Thank you to my good friend, Bob Asher, for inviting me. With 36 days to the general election, we all need to be working hard, getting our friends and family registered to vote, and making sure that everyone has a plan for Election Day so that we can send President Donald Trump back <>to the White House and ensure victory for our Republican candidates.
On Friday, I had a great time at the Bloomsburg fair! I met many people from across the district, and I even bought a Holstein bull during the auction with farmer Brian Campbell, which supports the 4H and feeds hungry families through the Central PA Food Bank! Also at the fair was the Stuart Tank Memorial Association, with one of their tanks produced in Berwick during WW2. While I was at the fair, I also ran into Scott Presler and Early Vote Action, who was registering people to vote at the fair and doing all he could to ensure that Donald Trump is victorious come November 5th.
Planning to vote... do it now and Swamp the Vote! In Pennsylvania, it is time to request your mail-in and absentee ballots. Click here <[link removed]> or below to get more information.
