We recently got new polling in CA-41 that shows our race in a dead-heat. As of now, it stands at 46% - 46%.
Shortly after, we got word that Ken Calvert and his super PAC allies are significantly ramping up their spending in response. We're expecting at least $3 million to be spent on the airwaves in the next month -- mostly on attack ads against me.
When we almost unseated Calvert in the last election, it was a last-minute surge of corporate PAC support that ultimately pushed him over the top. We can’t let that happen this time -- not with the polls so tight. And in order to keep up with his mega-donors, we’ll need to finish strong.
We set a goal of raising $100,000 in online donations before tomorrow's deadline, but we're pacing a bit behind where we should be. Please send in $3 – or whatever amount makes sense – to defeat the special interests trying to buy this seat.
