Dear John xxxxxx,
First, let me share how much I hope that you and yours are safe and well, as together we continue to adapt to and cope with the impact of the pandemic on our lives and families, workplaces and communities, and on our country and the world.
One thing is clear: the importance of our work is laid starkly bare by the spread of COVID-19. Immigrants, people who are incarcerated or detained, people without homes, those among us who live in poverty, and people of color are among the hardest hit by this pandemic, and by the harmful narratives of blame that have accompanied it.
You can help by telling new stories of how we can be stronger together, stories that change hearts and minds, and lead to policies that support fairness and equal opportunity for all.
There's more than one way to give. On this #GivingTuesdayNow, engage in the conversation! Check out our toolkit for how to talk about COVID-19 in ways that uplift the need for equal justice, opportunity, and access to resources – including healthy environments and health care. And follow us on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
The more people there are spreading stories of community, justice and opportunity, the better. Won’t you join us?
On behalf of The Opportunity Agenda, I send you best wishes for healthy weathering of the COVID-19 storm. We will continue to be in touch, and we invite you to do the same.
My best,
Ellen Buchman
President
P.S. If you are able, I hope you will consider making a contribution to help support our efforts to uplift values of community, fairness, and opportunity for all.
