John, With just about five weeks to go until November’s election, I’m here to tell you a hard — but motivating — truth: There is no cavalry coming. No miracle solution. No saviors. It's up to all of us — the voters — to raise our voices and to reject the anti-democracy agenda at the ballot box. We are the cavalry. The responsibility is ours. This year’s state-level elections will determine whether we turn toward democracy or autocracy. With the stakes so incredibly high, and with consequences for years to come, we must all be involved in the struggle to preserve our democracy. John, it’s time to send in the cavalry for democracy. As an NDRC supporter, you’re someone who wants to help elect pro-democracy leaders across our country. So I’m personally asking you: Can you make your first contribution to NDRC today to help power the long-term fight for fairness?
We are in possession of what John Lewis called “the most powerful nonviolent tool” — the right to vote. This year, thanks to our movement’s tireless work, candidates are competing in some of the most fairly drawn districts we’ve seen in decades. So if we, despite all the hurdles that have been placed in front of us, manage to show up to the polls like never before, we can elect outstanding leaders who are ready to ensure electoral fairness and protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of the people. As pro-democracy supporters who understand what is at stake, we have an obligation to seize this moment and keep pushing our movement forward. Thank you,
