I know I sound like a broken record, but this truly is the most important election of our lifetimes.
And now I can safely say this is the closest election of our lifetime, too. If you haven't seen the recent polling, here are some highlights:
- Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are tied nationally.
- In all the battleground states — the ones that will tip the presidential election — it's within the margin of error.
- Control of the Senate will come down to one or two races in hotly-contested states.
- Democrats are just a few seats shy of taking back the House.
The future of our country is literally hanging in the balance. I don't mean to sound alarmist, but everything from our reproductive freedom and health of our environment, to the state of the economy and the future of our democracy are all at stake.
That's why I’m reaching out as we begin the final stretch of our campaign. This is our last and biggest FEC fundraising deadline, and it’s our chance to show the strength of our grassroots movement.
