Now, there’s good news and bad news.
The bad: So far this month, my re-election campaign has received a far lower number of online contributions than we did in August. With our highest goal of all time on the table and our quarterly FEC deadline in 48 hours, this is tough.
But here’s the good news: The average contribution amount is higher than last month, so we still have a chance of reaching our goal for September. AND there are more new people donating every single day.
In August, we raised $711,908 online from 25,012 contributions (thank you!!) — at an average contribution of $28. In September, we’ve only received about 19,000 online donations — but our average contribution is up to $31, so we still have a shot at reaching our ambitious goal.
(And we set these goals for very real reasons. My campaign manager and finance team have already mapped out how much it will cost to support our statewide GOTV program — these monthly goals are what get us there!)
With just 48 hours until our last quarterly FEC deadline, and almost $100,000 left to raise, I have to ask: Can you pitch in $31 (our average online contribution amount) or more right now to help me reach this goal?
