As a member of this team, you deserve to know how we’re spending your money. That’s why I wanted to take a minute to be really honest about why we’re emailing you so much:
I recently saw polling that suggested that when voters hear about Jessica and Kevin Kiley, they prefer Jessica. However, we need to REACH those voters and remind them about Kiley’s extremism between now and Election Day.
But I’ve been touching base with our team all week, and despite growing our campaign, outraising Kiley with grassroots California donations, and closing this race down to a WINNABLE margin, we’re about to have to make some really tough decisions about our TV ads. Specifically, whether to spend our budget all the way down and risk draining our Election Week budget, or holding back and letting Kevin Kiley take the lead on airtime.
I’m making the tough call to spend our budget because I, like you, truly believe that we can convert voters with our latest ads. I believe that this will pay off, but I need your help to make sure we hit our end-of-quarter goal — otherwise, we may not be able to afford these plans after all.
We set a goal to raise $20,000 from grassroots supporters before our end-of-quarter goal, and right now, we’re less than $5K away. Can I count on you to chip in whatever you can so we reach our goal and keep Jessica’s message on the air from now until November 5?
