Our district also has unique challenges that have been insufficiently addressed for far too long. Here in rural Arizona, we face a toxic legacy of abandoned radioactive waste; a legacy of decades of uranium mining over the 20th century. This hazardous waste was improperly disposed of in many cases, and our communities are facing the consequences in the form of contaminated soil and water, and above-average cancer rates.
This is just one example of our rural Arizona communities being left behind by a government in Washington that turns a blind eye to the real needs of our people. And our current representative, Eli Crane, is too busy getting ready for his next podcast appearance to focus on the critical issues facing our families and communities.
I promise to be a different kind of leader when I get to Congress, but I’m going to need your help to get there. We need to meet this final FEC quarterly fundraising goal — thanks so much for anything you can give.
Ahéhee (Thank you),
