As the Times notes, Balekian is spewing plenty of hatred on the trail:

“His misleading personal attacks (one mailer falsely accused Friedman of making bike lanes mandatory ‘in every California city’) and focus on culture war issues such as so-called parental rights seem straight out of the MAGA playbook.”
Balekian is not just known for demonizing transgender individuals, he’s made a point of demonizing the mothers of trans children. He’s obsessed, and not about the things that will actually help the community.

Laura has spent her career fighting to protect our personal freedoms and ensure the safety of all marginalized communities. She is best-known for being an effective legislator who gets things done for the community -- even while facing special interest opposition.
