John,
The internet is falling in love with Moo Deng, a baby Pygmy Hippo that has become a global sensation for her adorable looks and charming antics (like biting her zookeeper’s knee!)

What you might not know, however, is that Pygmy Hippos, like Moo Deng, are some of the most endangered species in the world. It is estimated that fewer than 2,500 are left in the wild due to hunting and habitat loss.
Climate change is making it harder for hippos like Moo Deng to survive. So will you please donate now to help our SEEC members continue fighting to tackle the climate crisis and protect endangered species, like the Pygmy Hippo, in Congress? [[link removed]]
DONATE $25 » [[link removed]]While Moo Deng is safe and being taken care of by zookeepers, other Pygmy Hippos are not so lucky. In the wild, they are losing their forest and swamp habitats due to logging, mining, and agricultural expansion - putting them closer to humans and more likely to be hunted.
We cannot underestimate the impact that climate change is having on endangered species like Moo Deng’s brothers and sisters in the wild. Because of all of these factors, they are closer than ever to going extinct. (Imagine not having a hippo like Moo Deng left in the world… it would be terrible!)
We need your help to fight back against climate change and continue leading the fight for endangered species like Moo Deng! Will you please support our work today? [[link removed]]

Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 118th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future. But if you'd like to receive fewer emails, we understand. You can click here [[link removed]] to only get our most important messages, or you can unsubscribe: [link removed] .
