#GivingTuesdayNOW
We ask our NNIRR family and friends to support us today!
It's #GivingTuesdayNOW, a spring fundraiser happening today, May 5th, to bring much needed support and attention to nonprofits and community organizations who have been impacted by COVID-19.
During this crisis NNIRR has focused attention on the U.S.-Mexico border, where already desperate and inhumane conditions have been exacerbated by this global health crisis.
Help us stay strong and keep up with daily organizing to protect human rights.
We are taking action! NNIRR is anchoring a transnational effort with border groups in the U.S. and Mexico, and organizations along the migratory corridor in Central America, calling for border mayors and governors to protect migrants and ensure access to health care, services and recovery measures. NNIRR worked with over 50 organizations on a letter to border leaders with recommendations for safeguards to protect human rights, health and safety for migrant communities in the face of COVID-19. So far, 100+ groups have signed on to the letter, and together we are engaged in ongoing organizing and advocacy. Organizations can still sign on to our letter to border mayors and governors.
