Earlier this year, the DLCC marked Kansas as a target state for building Democratic power in the Legislature, and now they've released their top 10 spotlight candidates in the most competitive and critical races across the state, including:

Incumbents with seats we need to defend in the House, like Rep. Allison Houghland in Olathe and Rep. Jason Probst in Hutchinson (who won their races by some of the thinnest margins we've seen in years!)

Incumbents with seats we need to defend in the Senate, like Sen. Jeff Pittman

Challengers to right-wing extremists in the House, like Lt. Col. (Ret.) Aimee Bateman, Jacquie Lightcap, Vanessa Vaughn West, and Veronica Gillett

Challengers to out-of-touch MAGA politicians in the Senate, like Andrew Mall, Karen Thurlow, and Stacey Knoell

We've got quite a few races to keep our eye on, John. On top of the dozens of other contested races across the state, we can't afford to run out of resources for these critical seats.

That's why we've set one of our largest fundraising goals to date—and the deadline is on MONDAY.
