We’ll start with the good news, team.
» Eric has solidified local support in IL-17. He's got the backing of Senator Dick Durbin, Governor JB Pritzker, and neighbors know that Eric has delivered for the district. It’s clear Eric’s hard work in Washington despite Republican gridlock is being noticed.
But there is some bad news:
» Republicans are going low to try to steal this race. Illinois Republicans just released hateful, homophobic mailers to drive fear over Eric being gay. We expect Joe McGraw and his allies to begin flooding the airwaves with similar messaging any day now.
We’re disgusted, but not surprised by this, and it makes hitting our final FEC end-of-quarter deadline even more crucial.
So we need to ask:
