Today is #GivingTuesdayNow, a global effort to mobilize the world through giving during COVID-19. And we're making it easier than ever to make a difference. Every gift up to a campaign total of $100,000 will be matched to double its power in the fight against diabetes and COVID-19.

Here's what your gift to the American Diabetes Association® supports:

* Fighting so the millions of people who are newly unemployed due to COVID-19 won't face lapses in their health care coverage;
* Urging Congress to get COVID-19 testing to the underserved communities who need it most, but often can't access it because they don't have insurance coverage, transportation or paid time off from work; and
* Creating additional touchpoints for health care professionals in these communities-a critical need for minority populations, who have higher rates of both diabetes and COVID-19.

We've already had some successes, such as waiving some face-to-face physician visit requirements for people on Medicare so that they can continue to receive care and the supplies they need without leaving home.

But we must do more. What makes our fight even tougher is our donations are down more than 50%-right at the time when people living with diabetes need our support the most.
