Madeleine Dean for Congress

Hey friend! As Congresswoman Dean’s Campaign Manager, I just have to reach out ahead of our public FEC filing with a reality check.

The summer slump months hit us hard last quarter and in July — so we’ve been playing catch-up all this entire quarter. But now the GOP is pivoting their strategy, and targeting House races in PA districts because they know what building critical margins in “safe” districts means statewide.

If they see any openings for attack in our report, they won’t hesitate to double their investment in the Philly suburbs.

And as a numbers guy, I have to be honest – we’re at the point in the campaign where we’re going to be spending down to $0, from now until Election Day, for our campaign and for our our Democratic allies up and down the ballot in the Keystone State. If we don’t have the support that we need behind us, we won’t deliver where Democrats need wins.

Besides showing strength, here’s why meeting this deadline is so important:

Pennsylvania has the weight of the world on its shoulders. Our voters are being inundated with ads, emails, phone calls, and canvasses.

If there’s one thing that we learned going up against Trump and MAGA — it’s that all of this chaos and noise makes national polling unreliable. And if polling isn’t reliable, then our outreach strategy might not work.

If we don’t deliver a strategically-perfect turnout program, then we risk losing Pennsylvania. And if we lose Pennsylvania, then we lose the White House, the Senate, and miss our opportunity to flip the House.

You can have a direct impact on whether Pennsylvania delivers a Blue Wave with Harris-Walz at the helm, or if we turn Red and get Trump, Project 2025, and MAGA extremism for four more years (and who knows how long).

The margins matter here because to help the Harris-Walz ticket, we need to counter Republican wins in other areas of the Commonwealth. It's not about just getting enough votes for Mad to "survive" — we need to get enough votes for statewide Democrats like Harris-Walz, Sen. Casey, and others to "thrive".
