Marjorie Taylor Greene melts down over House speaker: "I don’t think Republicans deserve to be re-elected"
QAnon Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene launched a furious tirade at House Speaker Mike Johnson after he pushed through legislation to avoid a government shutdown, accusing him of being "a Speaker for the Democrats." Johnson defied Donald Trump on Wednesday by letting the House of Representatives vote to approve a spending bill to keep the government funded until December 20, even though it included no provisions to tighten elections. This was clearly a bridge too far Greene, who went on to state Republicans did not "deserve" to control the House. "Mike Johnson is not our Speaker," she told Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast. “I share the anger and frustration, and I don't think Republicans deserve to be re-elected to hold the majority." We can't believe we're saying this, but we completely agree with Marjorie Taylor Greene: Republicans definitely do not deserve to hold onto their House majority.

Trump Media co-founders unload nearly all their DJT stock worth $100 million
The co-founders of Trump Media & Tech Group — the alleged brains behind Donald Trump’s Truth Social platform — have sold almost all their stock in the company, worth a reported $100 million. According to a regulatory filing, United Atlantic Ventures, an investment firm owned by Andrew Litinsky and Wesley Moss, who were also former contestants on series two of The Apprentice, has disposed of nearly all its 5.5 percent stake in Trump Media. The duo sold most of their stake in the company after a lockup agreement that stopped large investors, including the disgraced ex-president, from selling any shares ended on September 19. Trump has not yet offloaded any of his stock and has insisted he would not be selling his shares, reaffirming his commitment to Truth Social when the lockup agreement ended. Time will tell.

Israel says it struck Hezbollah’s headquarters as huge explosions rocked Beirut
The Israeli military struck Hezbollah’s headquarters in Beirut on Friday in a series of massive explosions that targeted the leader of the militant group and leveled multiple high-rise apartment buildings. The biggest blast to hit the Lebanese capital in the past year appeared likely to push the escalating conflict closer to full-fledged war. At least two people were killed and dozens were wounded, Lebanon’s health ministry said. Israel’s air force struck the southern suburbs of Beirut again several hours later, killing and wounding dozens of people. After the strikes, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu abruptly cut short a visit to the United States to return home. Hours earlier, he addressed the UN, vowing that Israel’s intensified campaign against Hezbollah over the past two weeks would continue — further dimming hopes for an internationally backed cease-fire.
Arizona county sheriffs say they will not enforce immigration measure if passed
Sheriffs in four Arizona counties that sit along the border with Mexico have warned that if voters in November pass Proposition 314, a controversial and highly problematic measure that would make it a state crime for migrants to cross into the US unofficially, they will have serious problems enforcing the new law. Criticisms range from the law being unenforceable because of budgetary restraints to it being flat-out "racist," with negative comments coming from both Democrats and Republicans alike. Worth noting — the federal government has jurisdiction over enforcing US immigration laws, not individual states. Asking county sheriffs to take on this responsibility across a shared 370-mile border is laughably unrealistic.

Zelenskyy cuts off Trump after he boasts about relationship with Putin
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy cut off the MAGA cult leader during a gaggle with reporters on Friday, musing that he hoped Trump had a better relationship with himself than Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. The awkward moment came after Trump was asked about his expectations for his private meeting with Zelenskyy. The 78-year-old convicted felon was giving one of his signature, 6th-grade-reading-level answers and eventually got to the point where he congratulated himself for the wonderful relationship he has with Vladimir Putin. Zelenskyy had clearly heard enough, interrupting to say, "I hope we have more good relations with us."
