Issue One is dedicated to fixing our broken political system and returning government to the American people — and we haven’t wavered from that mission, even during this public health crisis.

A major part of our work has been fighting for safe, secure, and fair elections. That means advocating for voters’ access to the ballot box through alternatives like safe in-person voting, absentee voting, and early voting. We are continually calling on Congress to increase funding to states so that election administrators and local officials have the resources they need to protect the 2020 elections.

On top of these efforts, we remain dedicated to issues like protecting our elections from foreign interference, supporting the Select Committee on the Modernization of Congress to bring the legislative branch into the 21st century, and producing hard-hitting research that dives into the most dysfunctional aspects of our political system.
