The world has been turned upside down, and we are all facing drastic changes in our daily lives. Maybe you’re home with your kids, juggling remote work and homeschooling. Or maybe you’re finding new ways to stay in touch with friends and family virtually. Or, you’re just trying to find a sense of normalcy in the chaos. As an organization, we’ve worked for weeks to find ways to continue meeting our commitment to our 1.7 million beneficiaries worldwide in the midst of crisis. When we heard that May 5 had been designated as a global day of giving called #GivingTuesdayNow, we were so excited. In the face of so much change, this is a change, too! Giving Tuesday typically falls after Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but because we’re facing a different “normal”, we are incredibly grateful to have this opportunity to rally supporters around the globe to raise critical funds to support the children and families counting on us. In times of crisis, the vulnerable communities we serve are even more at risk of contracting illness and disease. We can’t leave them without support. Will you join us today to continue our efforts worldwide? |
