I couldn't believe my ears when I heard what the Republican Senate candidate in Ohio recently said about how women over 50 shouldn't care about abortion rights. But then it hit me—this seems strangely familiar. In fact, my opponent, Kelly Cooper, said the exact same thing last cycle.
It's shockingly out of touch, but not surprising. Extremists like Cooper think they can dismiss the rights of women because it doesn't personally affect them. It’s a perfect example of what's at stake this November.
Decency. Democracy. Protecting a woman's right to make her own health care decisions. It's all on the line.
