John,
Last week, MAGA extremists on Georgia’s State Election Board voted 3-2 to require the hand counting of ballots cast on Election Day. This last-minute effort — opposed by both the state’s Republican Attorney General and Republican Secretary of State1
— is a perfect illustration of MAGA's strategy right now: sow doubt and chaos in advance of Election Day.
We can’t let them succeed.
That’s why, over the next 39 days, we plan to deploy organizers in battleground states like Georgia to ensure voters can cast their ballots, mobilize thousands of volunteers to fight back against voter suppression, and ensure all of our votes are counted — just like we did in 2020. And, as always, we’ll continue to hold politicians accountable who attempt to subvert democracy for their own gain.
Pitch in now to help us fight back against MAGA election deniers by turning out as many voters as possible over the next six weeks — and organizing to protect our vote and make sure all of our voices are heard.

These unelected MAGA extremists on Georgia’s Elections Board are pulling out all the stops to try and cause chaos this year.
In addition to trying to require a hand count of ballots on election night — an effort that even Georgia’s Republican Secretary of State said would “undermine voter confidence and burden election workers"2 — they are also leading investigations into eight counties for their handling of voter challenges and siding with GOP election deniers in trying to remove more voters from the rolls.
While these proposals are now being challenged in the courts, early voting starts in just a few weeks, and there may not be time to implement or litigate the new rule changes before poll workers have to start counting votes.
We’ve seen this MAGA playbook before, including in Georgia four years ago: try to delay the results, sow confusion, and question the integrity of a legitimate election — all to block the will of the people.
These moves are intended to undermine public trust in our elections. And Georgia is far from the only state where this is happening.
The stakes couldn’t be higher. We have the power to fight back against these anti-democratic attacks — but we need you with us. Will you chip in today to support our efforts in battleground states and help protect our democracy?

Together, we can ensure that every vote is counted, every voice is heard, and that we continue building a country that works for all of us — not just the wealthy and powerful.
