Folks, I’m tired of these political games:

Congressional Republicans are holding the Farm Bill hostage to use as a bargaining chip in their petty politics.

The Farm Bill is a critical tool that supports farmers, grows our rural economies, and ensures access to healthy food for all Americans.

But some of my colleagues have made it clear that their desire to cut food support for the nation’s most vulnerable families outweighs their responsibility to support our state’s agricultural industry.

If they succeed, local farmers will lose critical support and 40 million Americans would see the largest cuts to their benefits in nearly 30 years.

I refuse to gamble with people’s futures and their livelihoods. I’m working hard to ensure that this year’s Farm Bill continues to support growers and producers across the Heartland.
