Senator Katie Britt speaks on Senate floor advocating for Lulu's Law

<[link removed]>

On Wednesday, Alabama Senator Katie Britt addressed the Senate in support of
her bipartisan proposal for Lulu's Law.

"Lulu's Law", is a law proposed by Senator Katie Britt in response to the
Alabama shark attack survivor Lulu Gribbin.

Lulu Gribbin is a 15-year-old Shark attack survivor who lost her left hand and
part of her right leg on June 7.The next month, Senator Britt began working on
the "Lulu's Law" legislation and announced it on July 30.

"Lulu's Law" would codify shark attacks as events for which wireless emergency
alerts could be sent out as warnings to the public of shark attacks in the
area, or if there is a possibility of shark attacks in the area.

This would make it easier for local governments to make their communities
aware of these incidents in an effort to prevent more of them.

Britt addressed the Senate, urging them to act on legislation in the wake of
this attack.

Katie Britt introduces bill requiring mental health warning labels for social
media platforms

<[link removed]>

Amid an ongoing youth mental health crisis worsened by the use of widespread
and unlimited social media use, U.S. Senator Katie Britt is continuing to take
steps to protect America’s children from the growing issue.

On Tuesday, in her latest effort, Britt joined fellow Senator John Fetterman
(D-Pennsylvania) in introducing the Stop the Scroll Act. The legislation would
create a mental health warning label requirement for social media platforms.

The goal of the bill, according to Britt, is to “ensure all users, especially
adolescents, are aware of the potential mental health risks posed by social
media usage and are provided access to mental health resources.”

“Every child deserves the chance to live their own personal American Dream,
but our nation’s youth mental health crisis is getting in the way for far too
many,” said Britt. “With the Stop the Scroll Act, Senator Fetterman and I are
following through on the Surgeon General’s call to create a warning label for
social media platforms, but we’re going further by requiring the warning label
to also point users to mental health resources.”

Britt Talks Trump, Cochran and Turning Georgia Red Ahead of Bama Game Visit

<[link removed]>

Katie Britt is fired up about watching the Tide roll Saturday as Kalen DeBoer
and no. 4 Alabama take on Kirby Smart's second-ranked Georgia Bulldogs on Saban
Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

The Yellowhammer State's junior Senator joined the Game with Ryan Fowler on
Tide 100.9 FM for an exclusive interview ahead of the game, which she is
expected to attend with former President Donald Trump, Senator Tommy Tuberville
and a list of other conservative VIPs.

Britt, an Enterprise native, said she can't remember a time the atmosphere
around a game in Tuscaloosa was this electric.

"The energy everywhere, to me, it's just through the roof. I've certainly been
wearing my Alabama baseball cap through the Capital more than one day and I had
to get a couple of 'Roll Tides' off to my colleagues from Georgia," Britt said.
"It's game time and I am excited! We are obviously thrilled that President
Trump, in the midst of a very busy election season, took the time to be a part
of such a special evening and such a big game."
