I have to be honest, John, it’s not easy asking for your support at a time like this.
We're just weeks away from the most consequential presidential election in my lifetime – and the Republican nominee is a convicted felon openly campaigning on an authoritarian platform.
The end of September is not just a deadline for Kamala Harris and other Democrats on the ballot in November. Pundits also will be judging our 2026 race by the early support we attract right now.
A strong fundraising report will prove this is a sustainable campaign that will continue to gain momentum as we stand up for the working people of California.
So I have to ask:
We have accomplished so much together over the years, and we've shown what a competent, accountable government can do.
But today, as people across the state are voicing that California is more out of balance than ever, it’s clear we need a different voice to lead our state. And I know that together we can make California add up for each of us.
