Greetings,
We hope you’ll join us for a
fundraiser on Wednesday, October 2nd, to support Nellie Pou
for Congress in Paramus. Senator Pou, a PAM’s List endorsed candidate,
was selected to run for Congress in New Jersey’s 9th
Congressional District to fill the seat left empty by Congressman Bill
Pascrell's passing.
Senator Nellie Pou is a dedicated
public servant and trailblazer who made history as the first Latina
elected to represent the 35th Legislative District
and will again make history as she runs to become the first Hispanic
woman to represent New Jersey in Congress. During Senator Pou’s
distinguished and impactful tenure in the State Senate, she advanced
legislation that has improved the lives of Garden State residents in
areas including social justice, healthcare, education, and
affordability. As the current Senate Majority Caucus Chair, Chair of
the Senate Commerce Committee, Vice-Chair of the Senate Judiciary
Committee, and Chairwoman of the New Jersey Legislative Latino Caucus,
Senator Pou, day in and day out, exemplifies effective leadership.
She’s prioritized diversifying leadership in New Jersey to reflect the
people represented and has remained outspoken in her pursuit to reform
systems that aren’t serving our communities well. She’s a passionate,
thoughtful, and bold leader who will continue championing values of
compassion, fairness, and inclusion. Senator Pou is the leader we need
to continue to drive us forward, which is why we hope you’ll support
the event. Below, please see the event details.
