We know that Harris County is ready for real criminal justice reform–reforms that will make our system fairer, more equitable, and keep our communities safe. We have the opportunity to lead the nation in this effort.

But my Republican opponent is determined to take us backward. He’s pushing for a return to the “good ol’ boy” system, where bail bondsmen make millions off an unjust system. He would even prosecute women who seek abortions and the doctors who perform them.

His extreme views don’t reflect the values of Harris County, but he’s being propped up by millions of Republican dollars pouring into this race. This could be the most competitive race in Harris County.

If we don’t keep up our fundraising, we could be outspent in this election. That’s why we need to raise $10,000 before the end of September.
