Recognizing Our Historic Institutions of Higher Education 

This week I delivered remarks on the floor of the House of Representatives in celebration of the 100th "Naz Day," which marks the founding of Nazareth University. Over the past century, Nazareth University has grown from an initial class of 25 students into a 150-acre campus, with nearly 2,500 students in more than 80 academic programs.

Here's to more growth and prosperity in the next century. Happy Centennial, Nazareth University!

 Welcoming Local Students to the U.S. Capitol 

It was a pleasure to host students from Fairport High School in the Capitol to discuss topics they are researching in their leadership classes.

I’m always excited to see our local students engaged in thoughtful discourse on the issues facing this next generation of leaders. Their passion inspires me to work every day to create opportunities for our youth and secure a brighter future in America.

 Supporting Veteran Caregivers 

The Elizabeth Dole Foundation is dedicated to empowering military and veteran caregivers in our community and across the nation. I’m particularly grateful for their support of my legislation, the Veteran Caregiver Re-education, Re-employment, and Retirement (Veteran Caregiver RRR) Act which will ensure veteran caregivers have access to the benefits they deserve.

This week, I joined them to discuss how we can support our veteran caregivers who dedicate their time and energy to supporting our nation’s best and bravest.

 Supporting Those Who Care for Our Most Vulnerable 

Across our community, thousands of volunteers dedicate their time and energy to ensuring seniors and our more vulnerable neighbors have access to nutritious meals, particularly through programs like Meals on Wheels. This week, I introduced the DELIVER Act, bipartisan legislation I authored to reduce the financial burden on our gracious volunteers and help them reach more people in their time of need.

 Uplifting the Families of our Nation's Servicemembers 

Sunday is Gold Star Mother’s and Family's Day, an important time to pay tribute to our fallen heroes and express our gratitude to the families who have endured the unspeakable grief of losing a child in battle.

We will never forget your loved one’s heroic sacrifice. May you find comfort and support in the thanks of a grateful nation.
