LA Times: Arizona’s 1864 abortion ban is officially off the books

Katie repealed the Civil War-era abortion ban in May, and earlier this month, it became official: The 1864 ban is no more. As Election Day nears, Katie made it clear that the fight to protect reproductive health care is not over — abortion access will be on the ballot, along with a slate of anti-abortion extremists we must defeat in November.

KVOA: Katie Hobbs to make first Supreme Court appointment

Right now, all seven justices on the Arizona Supreme Court were appointed by Republican governors. But a justice is retiring later this year, giving Katie her first appointment to our state’s highest court.

Katie launched a new initiative called Talent Ready AZ to connect Arizonans to good-paying jobs and tackle workplace shortages. She also issued an executive order requiring a portion of federal grants to be allocated to developing Arizona’s economy.

Arizona Republic: State high court dismisses GOP challenge to Hobbs' orders on voting access

Arizona Republicans tried to sue Katie for expanding ballot access. Thankfully, the court threw out the sham lawsuit, and Katie’s executive orders to make voting more accessible for eligible Arizonans remain in effect.
