Friend,
These days, we all could use some inspiration. So, on this Giving Tuesday Now, a new global day of giving and unity, I wanted to let you know about an organization that inspires us here at EWG: World Central Kitchen.
Founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés, the heroes at World Central Kitchen are working around the clock to ensure that communities in COVID-19 hotspots have access to fresh meals (more than 3 million!) and to speak out for the need to protect our food workers and food system.
Can I count on you to support World Central Kitchen today? 100 percent of your donation will go to supporting their work on the frontlines of COVID-19.
In the 27 years since we started EWG, our team has fought tirelessly to protect the public from toxic chemicals in our environment. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, we are turning our focus to support individuals and communities who are at increased risk, including our food and farm workers.
Right now, America’s farm and food workers are putting themselves at risk to make sure we all have food on the table during the COVID-19 pandemic. Families who struggle to afford healthy food need our help now more than ever.
José Andrés has been a staunch ally of these workers who are putting food on our table.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, WCK is working across America to safely distribute fresh meals to vulnerable communities and frontline healthcare workers.
We know there is a lot to worry about these days, but EWG’s top priority is always to protect your health. And right now, we need to protect our food system, and that means protecting farm and food workers.
Our food supply chain has never been more essential. We need to protect the source of America’s food, so that all of us have enough to eat, even in the most difficult times.
As people around the world rally in support of important causes, please donate to EWG’s Giving Tuesday Now fundraiser for World Central Kitchen and help protect our food system.
Thank you for your support.
