Retired Americans PAC Launches Ads in Five Key House Races

Retired Americans PAC, the independent political arm of the Alliance, has launched five new digital ads in key battleground House races across the country. The 30-second spots are paid for by Retired Americans PAC and will be shown to persuadable older voters throughout the district.

"Older voters will play a critical role in this election," said Richard Fiesta, Treasurer of Retired Americans PAC. "The ads present the facts so that seniors can vote for the candidates who will protect their interests.”

The independent expenditure campaigns are currently running in the following congressional districts:

Kirsten Engel's opponent, Rep. Juan Ciscomani (R), is featured in the AZ-06 ad.

  • Arizona’s 1st Congressional District - “Crisis”

  • Arizona’s 6th Congressional District - “Sold Out

  • Michigan’s 7th Congressional District -  “Tom Barrett and Project 2025”

  • Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District - “No Games”

  • Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District - “Game Show

Retired Americans PAC is the independent political arm of the Alliance and works to elect candidates who are committed to strengthening retirement security, protecting the interests of older Americans, and defeating those who have taken positions that would harm older Americans.

North Carolina Alliance Files Motion to Protect Voting Rights

The North Carolina Alliance has filed a motion to intervene in a Republican National Committee (RNC) lawsuit challenging rules for mail-in ballots in the state. The RNC suit arose from the State Board of Elections revising its Numbered Memo 2021-03, which implements various laws governing absentee ballots, so that minor errors in returning ballots on time will not be rejected by election officials.

“As our motion states, GOP groups are searching for ‘new procedural traps to drum up alleged errors in hopes of disqualifying mail ballots cast by qualified voters,’” said Joseph Peters, Jr., Secretary-Treasurer of the Alliance. “The right to vote is sacred, and the Alliance will work to stop voter suppression efforts wherever we see them.”

Find a Rally Near You This Tuesday for the People’s Post Office

The American Postal Workers Union (APWU) represents 200,000 postal workers whom we all rely on to deliver life-saving medications, essential documents, meaningful birthday and holiday cards and even vote-by-mail ballots.

APWU members are in negotiations right now with U.S. Postal Service (USPS) management. They’re demanding a good contract with fair pay and benefits, increased transparency and accountability for senior postal leadership, and a commitment to improving mail service year-round.

You can support the postal workers by finding a rally near you on Tuesday, October 1.

For this year’s presidential election, USPS will deploy “extraordinary measures” to make sure that mail-in ballots are delivered on time. While postal workers are gearing up to make this election a success, they’re also ringing the alarm bells about short staffing and poorly executed management plans affecting other mail—with no accountability to the American people.

Postal workers can win the strong contract they deserve with your support. If you can’t make it to an event on Oct. 1, please sign APWU’s petition in solidarity with postal workers fighting for a better post office at apwu.org/better-post-office.
