Hurricane Helene struck Florida as a powerful Category 4 storm yesterday, causing widespread devastation. More than 3 million people across Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas are without power. The storm has claimed multiple lives, with one death reported in Florida and two in Georgia.

Severe flooding is now unfolding in the western Carolinas, and record-breaking rain continues to fall. Torrential winds and extreme rainfall are expected to cause more destruction across the Southeast and southern Appalachians in the coming days.

Catholic Charities agencies are on the ground, providing immediate relief, including food, water, and shelter. Your emergency gift will provide aid and comfort to individuals and families whose lives have been devastated by this storm.
