Because right now, in a very difficult fundraising environment, J Street
is waging two of the most important battles in our history.

First, we’re mounting a major, international campaign to stop Netanyahu
from annexing large swaths of the West Bank as early as July 1. Working
with our allies in Israel, we’re mobilizing communal leaders and lawmakers
to draw the line against a move that would spell disaster for Israeli
democracy, Palestinian rights and prospects for a negotiated solution to
the conflict. We can -- and will -- make it clear that US support for the
destructive goals of the settlement movement expires when Trump leaves
office.

Which brings us to our second major fight -- defeating a president who
poses a threat to everything we stand for. Trump and his right-wing allies
have made it clear that they plan to politicize Israel and weaponize
accusations of antisemitism in this election. They’re going to hold up the
president’s unwavering support for Netanyahu and his embrace of extremist
policies like annexation as evidence that he’s the most pro-Israel
president ever, and therefore deserving of Jewish voters’ ‘loyalty.’

No organization is better equipped to give the public the other side of
the story; to expose how this president’s policies have been disastrous
for hopes of Mideast peace, harmful to the American Jewish community and
damaging to the long-term interests of the US and Israel.
