Did you hear what Trump-backed Senate candidate Bernie Moreno said this week about women over 50?! In a nutshell: he said that women who can no longer bear children shouldn’t care about reproductive rights.

It’s just the latest in a series of out-of-touch and unfounded claims about abortion and motherhood that we’ve heard from MAGA Republicans this cycle. But the threat of these anti-choice extremists getting elected is too real.

As ridiculous as these statements are, we’re taking them seriously. We’re taking Bernie Moreno at his word when he says that he doesn’t think the largest voting bloc should have a say in their own bodies.

The momentum of this election cycle is scaling rapidly, and Moreno is (deservedly) taking a lot of heat for his comments. Democrats need to use every opportunity to rally grassroots support around abortion —and this moment is no different, John.
