- Matt’s Opponent Has a Massive Advantage: He kicked off his campaign with a $400,000 loan, trying to buy this race. And now he’s up to $1.2 MILLION of his own money invested in this race. Clearly, he believes that money can replace genuine support from the people of PA-08.
- Top GOP Leaders Are All In: Every major GOP figure has descended on our district to boost Matt’s opponent and rally their base. Apparently, they think a politician from Louisiana can understand and represent the interests of northeastern Pennsylvania better than Matt can.
- Super PAC Spending Is Skyrocketing: A Mike Johnson-aligned super PAC is pouring even more money into this race than they did last cycle at this same point in the race, ramping up their efforts to win this seat.
John, we’ll be honest with you: We’re confused as to why the GOP is so desperate to unseat Matt. Even his opponent made a donation to Matt’s campaign.
