BJS will hold an in-person workshop, Analyzing Data from the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS): A Workshop for Data Users, at the American Society of Criminology Annual Meeting in San Francisco, CA, on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 1-5:00 p.m. PT. BJS statisticians from the Victimization Statistics Unit will provide information on analyzing NCVS core and supplement data files and will highlight various research questions the data can address. This insightful workshop will:
- introduce data users to the types of information available through the NCVS
- offer an overview of the NCVS survey structure and sample design, and
- provide hands-on training to assist in properly analyzing NCVS public-use data.
