John,

A few months ago, we announced our second round of endorsements, bringing
the number of young leaders we’re working to elect this November up to 13!

From gun violence to climate change to the skyrocketing cost of living,
our leaders haven’t been making enough progress on young voters’
priorities. So all over the country, we’re working to transform state
legislatures (and Congress!) to include young people at a rate that’s
closer to our portion of the population.

[ [link removed] ]We'll get into more detail about each of the candidates we're endorsing
below, but if you'd rather skip the long email and pitch in to help us get
them elected in November, you can click here to donate $5
right now!

Our endorsements span 10 different states in every part of the country.

In Arizona, first-generation American and Rhodes Scholar Oscar De Los
Santos has already proven himself as a leader in the fight to repeal the
state’s abortion ban. He needs and deserves our help to win re-election
this year.

In Tennessee, abortion rights champion Allie Phillips and immigrant rights
advocate and first-generation American Luis Mata are going to make
fantastic additions to the state legislature.

In Texas, ER nurse Molly Cook will continue to be a powerful force
advocating for abortion rights and public transit in the State Senate. She
won a special election to serve out the remainder of the current term, but
she’ll need to be re-elected to a full term in November!

Averie Bishop is running for Texas House District 112 because she wants to
create a Texas where every family and child can believe that everything in
Texas truly is bigger and better. Also, Kristian Carranza has registered
over 10,000 voters in Texas and is now ready to bring the fight to the
Texas State House. All of the LWD-endorsed candidates in Texas will fight
back against regressive bills headed to the Texas House next year.

In Florida, climate advocate Nate Douglas will make sure young folks’
priorities are front and center, along with Bryce Berry and Ashwin
Ramaswami in neighboring Georgia. And in North Carolina, non-profit leader
and former National Guard Captain Dante Pittman will do the same.

In Ohio, we’ve endorsed Christine Cockley for the State House. She’s
determined to make housing and childcare more affordable and keep our
communities safe from gun violence — along with Anna Thomas, who we’ve
endorsed in nearby Pennsylvania.

And last but certainly not least, in Delaware, Sarah McBride has the
chance to make history as the first openly trans member of the US
Congress. She’s a badass state senator who’s been the driving force behind
so many awesome bills, and we’re going to make sure she gets to take the
fight to Washington next.

If we elect even half of these candidates this November, we’ll have made
monumental gains for young people's representation in government and a big
boost to get young voters turning out by giving them people their age to
vote for. But we’re not aiming to elect half of them — we’re aiming to
help each and every one of them win on Election Day.

[ [link removed] ]So John,
don't sit on the sidelines. If you're ready for a government that responds
to the needs and priorities of young people, pitch in $5
today and help us elect all 13 of these fantastic candidates in November.
