More evidence, less poverty

Hi John,

Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated countries in the world, and with a resource-constrained health system, it is at risk of being one of the most severely affected by COVID-19. Right now, in Bangladesh, IPA is working with Y-RISE

to gather national data on COVID-19’s health, economic, and social ramifications and provide it to organizations and government partners working to contain the spread of the outbreak and to prepare for the recovery. With an accurate picture of what’s happening on the ground, decision-makers in Bangladesh will be able to save more lives and livelihoods.

This is one example of how IPA has adapted our work to support COVID-19 response efforts. Learn more about how IPA is pivoting our work in the 22 countries where we work through a major new effort called Research for Effective COVID-19 Responses, or RECOVR
