True North Legal Files Amicus Brief in Ninth Circuit |
“Contrary to claims by the federal government and the abortion industry, access to abortion on demand is not the same as a pregnancy related emergency medical condition.” Renee Carlson, General Counsel, True North Legal
Last week, True North Legal filed a brief in support of the state of Idaho in a legal challenge by the Biden-Harris administration to its Defense of Life Act. The administration is arguing for a novel interpretation of federal law, EMTALA, to force emergency medical providers to perform abortions. The United States Supreme Court sent this case back to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit for further consideration.
