As you read this, my opponent has launched a disgusting, homophobic mailer to all voters in our district, and I need your help pushing back right now.

The obvious implication is that because I'm gay, a vote for me means a vote for "grooming" children, and making them unsafe.

This is sickening, but given what we’ve seen from Joe McGraw it's not shocking -- and I'm not expecting his National Republican supporters to call it out, either.

The truth is that for years now, the GOP has embraced this kind of hateful rhetoric. I grew up in an era when homophobic scare tactics were normal. Rather than attack my record, they’re reverting back to this sort of shameful bigotry.

This a reminder that our campaign is bigger than just holding this swing seat -- this is about standing up to the extremism and hate that’s only grown in recent years as National Republicans have leaned on division and hatred to win.

The far-right is willing to do whatever it takes to flip this seat, and we have to stop them. We’ve set a goal of raising $25,000 before Monday at midnight and I’m hoping you can make a $10 contribution to help us fight back and win. [ [link removed] ]
