Do you know the answer, John?

Does Campaigning in Rural America Actually Work for Democrats?

Today, Iowa Democrats have the fewest number of Senators and House members in nearly fifty years. A historic moment, and not in a good way. We are holding on to 52 out of the 150 seats in the state legislature — the fewest seats we've held since 1972. That's fifty-two years, longer than I've been alive!

So here's the truth: When Democrats invest in rural areas, they win elections.

And when Democrats fail to campaign in rural areas and invest in our communities, far-right extremism festers and builds until people like Kim Reynolds and my opponent are all that's left. This is why, when we put up a fight, invest in rural Democrats, and Stand Tall for our community, we're able to win elections and stop extremists in their tracks.

Our movement is about connecting with voters, building bridges with communities, and empowering hard-working families. These are the values that rural voters stand by — not the extremist dogma of far-right Republicans — and that's why we can be successful in this year's election.

Can you donate $14 and help us fight for rural voters and build the movement that will help us stop far-right extremism in Iowa?

And we're not alone this year. Democrats have an opportunity to Stand Tall for All Iowans because Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are energizing voters and strengthening our grassroots movement.

Just this month, the Des Moines Register released new polling showing that Trump is only ahead of Harris by four points— 47% Trump vs. 43% Harris. Compare that to the presidential outcome in 2020, when Trump won with an 8% margin over Biden. Do you see the opportunity? Democrats are energized, and voters are ready to hear what we have to say.

We can grow our grassroots movement in Iowa and elect Democrats up and down the ballot, but we need to invest in our campaigns and every voter in our district. Will you help power our movement and Stand Tall for Iowans by chipping in $14 today?
