Team, if you know anything about me, you know that my work in Congress is personal.

I grew up right here in Toledo, in the same house I still live in today. Our family was a union family: my father at Toledo Jeep, and my mother at Champion Spark Plug.

For decades, I've seen corporate politicians like our opponent try to hollow out our communities, just to make a few extra bucks for the people at the top. 

They've pushed disastrous trade deals, given huge tax breaks to billionaires and big corporations, and tried to cut the vital programs that working people rely on. From my first days in Congress, I've fought back — and that fight is more urgent now than ever.

This year, we're up against an extremist opponent with millions of dollars in corporate dark money support, and it's projected to be the closest election we've ever had. We're counting on our grassroots supporters to help us continue our work.
