I pray you and your family are healthy, safe, and secure during these uncertain times.
One thing that should always be certain for all of us — no matter our age, status in life, or where we live — is the strength, importance, and central role that the family plays in our lives and our society.
At the American Principles Project, we’re leading a national effort to encourage families to look to each other and to God for strength during these difficult and very challenging times.
We’ve always preached the importance of family, pro-family values, and a pro-family America, but right now it’s more important than ever that we focus on family.

Parents and grandparents who never imagined being in this situation are serving so many roles to their children and grandchildren.
Mothers may be serving as educators, fathers as Sunday School teachers, grandparents as art teachers. Many children are adjusting to an indoor-centric life for the first time ever.
But while adjusting to unfamiliar roles and routines, a lifetime of memories can be made at home just being with family without the distractions of so many activities, commitments to run to, and “places to go, people to see.”
Now is a unique opportunity for families to take advantage of their uninterrupted time to strengthen their core and build memories that will last a lifetime -- and into the next generation.
We all want to believe that our nation can come out of this crisis stronger than ever before, but I firmly believe that is only possible if we strengthen families as the foundation of our society.
That is why the American Principles Project launched our “Month for the Family” campaign, and we are working day-in and day-out to provide opportunities and resources that will help strengthen families all across America.

Strong, stable families are where Americans are increasingly finding help and encouragement amid this new illness and economic hardship.
Throughout history, the family has always served as the first line of support during times of great difficulty.
And without strong families, our nation would no doubt be in much graver straits than it is now.
For more than a decade, the American Principles Project (APP) has been working in public policy and politics to promote and strengthen the American family, and right now we have a unique opportunity for families to grow closer together.
APP is working harder than ever (from a safe social distance, of course!) to support and strengthen families across America, while defending the rights and freedoms that enable families to thrive.
In these incredibly challenging times, it is important that we not fall into despair, but rather look for signs of hope in the midst of uncertainty.
