Hi ,

Our communities deserve a media and technology environment that champions justice and freedom — an environment far from our current reality that broadcasts unverified and racist talking points like we’ve seen in recent political debates.

We know these harmful narratives don’t just live as online memes of our failing democracy; they have real, offline consequences that impact our communities and safety. That’s why dispelling misinformation in our media landscape is crucial.

So what don’t we know about the media and pop culture stories we think we know? Well Actually… we launched an original podcast last year that breaks down pop culture stories and media manipulation patterns through a racial justice analysis.

Projects like this demonstrate why MediaJustice is prepared and well-positioned to move forward our new strategy, #ShiftingTerrain. By aligning people in a shared understanding of media and technology, we’ll advance a new “common sense” for the role these systems should play in our society.
Revisit our five-part podcast series — available on Spotify, Apple, and iHeartRadio — and join us as we build a future where ownership of these essential tools are more widely controlled and influenced by our social movements.

In collective solidarity,
MediaJustice
