Friend,

Almost 30 million Americans have lost their job as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Working families in every state across the country are having trouble making ends meet during this challenging time.

Now, more than ever, EPI's economists are needed to provide essential insights to policy makers and activists to develop solutions to guide the United States through this crisis.

Donate to EPI today, on Giving Tuesday, to fight for an economy that works for all of us!

Our deep bench of economists has analyzed the impacts of the global health pandemic on vulnerable and often-overlooked workers, including America's farmworkers and older workers.

Our economists determined that nearly three-fourths of workers age 65 and older—or more than 5 million older workers—are unable to telecommute. That means that these workers, who are at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19 because of their age, could be putting themselves at risk to earn a paycheck.

EPI’s research and data are needed now more than ever.

We need to reshape our economy to be more resilient and responsive during a crisis, including by strengthening worker power and worker voice, investing in communities, and rebuilding our tattered safety net. We need a solid economic foundation so we are better prepared for the next economic downturn.

Today is Giving Tuesday Now! Donate to EPI to fight for an economy that works for all of us!

EPI's work takes on new urgency in the age of COVID-19 as we provide the essential research we need to reshape and rebuild our economy.

In solidarity,
