Bridge repairs - A52 road closures 4-7 October

Need to use the A52 QMC roundabout in Nottingham next weekend?

As part of National Highways work to repair the damaged bridge on the northern section, there will be a full weekend closure of a number of roads from Friday 4 October to 6am on Monday 7 October.

This will enable workers to safely cut and remove the parapet on the edge of the bridge and drill anchors for a replacement beam. National Highways will use a crane to do this which will stand on Middleton Boulevard.

The A52 eastbound from Priory roundabout to QMC, the northern section of the QMC roundabout and Middleton Boulevard all need to be closed 24/7 for the safety of road users and the workforce.

Make sure you allow extra time for your journeys and follow signed diversions.

Night works on Maid Marian Way as former roundabout becomes T-junction

Works to improve the large roundabout where Maid Marian Way meets Derby Road and Lower Parliament Street began from Monday 23 September, with several nights where drivers through the area will not be able to make certain movements and will need to use a diversion route.

The former roundabout will be completely transformed into a modern T-junction, creating an area safer for cycling and walking on an important gateway into the city.

You can see all the information you'll need if you plan on travelling through the area at night here, as well as more info about the project. [ [link removed] ]

From Sunday 6 October, the former roundabout becomes a T-junction controlled by temporary traffic signals and drivers will be able to use all routes. Three new routes will also open to drivers, including:

* Mount Street right turn opens for southbound traffic
* Park Row left turn opens for northbound traffic
* Vehicles are now able to turn left from Tollhouse Hill onto Derby Road thanks to new dedicated route
