Hi John, it's James Carville. I'm writing to you because honestly, I'm weirded out right now.
I've seen a lot in my years working in politics, but I've never seen ANYTHING like the wacko team Donald Trump and the GOP have put together this year.
We can't let them take back the Senate in November. Please, John, will you chip in $5 (becomes $15!) or more to elect Democrats and defend our majority? >>
Trump's pulling the same crap as normal -- attacking VP Harris with nonsense, talking about Hannibal Lecter as if he's a real guy, and surrounding himself with MAGA guys that'll follow his lead.
Then there's JD Vance and his "childless cat ladies" obsession. Plus all the scandals, and the GOP candidates making things up about where they came from -- and don't even get me started on all the Project 2025 stuff. It's all just so… so… so WEIRD!
But here's the thing, John: Despite all the energy you and I are feeling right now, the polls say they could win. If we lose just TWO Senate seats, Republicans get back the majority, and we can kiss our progress goodbye.
Plus, if these MAGA weirdos get control of the Senate now, we'll have to wait years to take it back. Those are the stakes, plain and simple. It ain't just that these folks are oddballs -- it's that this election is about the fate of our democracy.
