I’m a volunteer for the Pennsylvania Harris-Walz Team, and I’m writing to tell you why I’m supporting Kamala Harris for president. Her journey to the Democratic nomination is unique and uncharted, and an inspiration to me and millions of folks chasing the American dream. Kamala Harris is a child of immigrants and a person of color just like I am. She understands first-hand the barriers that limit opportunities for millions of Americans.

My mother had been a house cleaner for over 20 years when she decided to fight for her rights as a worker with the National Domestic Workers Alliance in Philadelphia. Then-Senator Harris invited my mother and her fellow leaders to the Capitol to listen to their stories. I’m fighting for Kamala because she’s fearless in fighting for people just like my family.
