DES starts solicitation for bulk foods contract
DES is starting solicitation 04324 for bulk foods to succeed statewide contracts 01520 and 04518, which expire Sept. 30, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2025, respectively.
This solicitation includes:
- Dry goods
- Beverages
- Meats
- Seafood
- Dairy
- Fresh baked goods
This contract aims to help with delivery of fresh and healthy food options to eligible buyers, supporting Washington's health and environmental initiatives. This contract also supports and encourages the use of foods grown, packed and processed in Washington state. Options are available for kosher, halal, vegan and gluten-free diets.
We are looking for purchasers and subject-matter experts to help us develop this contract. If you are interested, join our kickoff meeting on Oct. 3 at 1 p.m. Attendees will learn more about the solicitation process, time commitment and responsibilities.

DES changes price on contract professional auditing services contract
DES posted updated pricing for contract 03219 for professional auditing services for contractor Davis Farr LLP. The prices increased by 9.8%.

DES extends five native plants contracts and removes one contractor
DES extended contract 12321 for native plants contracts until Sept. 14, 2028.
Also, effective Sept. 14, Wabash is no longer on the contract.
