Hurricane Helene is rapidly intensifying as it takes aim at Florida's Gulf Coast, where it will batter communities with destructive winds up to 125 mph, heavy rains and a life-threatening storm surge that could reach up to 20 feet. Americares is responding; we have received a request for assistance and are in communication with almost 200 partners throughout the region as they prepare for impacts to clinics and health services due to this severe storm.
